Real Estate News for Orlando

Sunday February 10, 2008
The Orlando Real Estate Market has been making news across the country. We have gone from being one of the hottest seller's markets a few years back to one of the strongest buyer's markets around today.

The stats are now available for how the market did in 2007. Eight graphs from the Orlando Regional Realtor Association tell the story of increasing inventory, fluctuating interest rates and reduced sales.

Each week news stories are coming out revealing the glut of downtown condos that are coming on the market. Sales are so low that properties like The Solaire are going up for auction on March 1, 2008. As time goes on with few sales and reluctant buyers, condo developers will be coming up with more and more creative ways to entice buyers back into the downtown market.

What has your experience been in this market? Share your comments below.

Liked your article and graphs. “Buyer’s market” is an understatement! There are dozens of houses and condos for sale in our neighborhood…I’m afraid that we’ve still got a long way to go before the Orlando Real Estate market hits bottom, especially for condos. Would appreciate your thoughts on what Orlando areas/neighborhoods are still “hot” ( or at least, luke-warm!).
