Leap Year Day Celebration in Downtown Orlando

Monday February 25, 2008
Ok, so Downtown Orlando may have a bit of construction going on, and downtown condos that aren’t selling are going up for auction, but what other city has a Leap Year Day Celebration?

Never heard of celebrating Leap Year Day? Well, local performance artist, Brian Feldman is planning an unprecedented and entirely unexpected performance art piece in front of City Hall at City Commons Plaza, beginning at midnight Friday and running for a full 24 hours,February 29, 2008.

Brian plans on ‘leaping’ off a 12-foot summit roughly every 4 minutes for a total of 366 times. The event will feature special scenic, lighting and sound effects. There is no admission charge for this amazing endurance spectacle and complimentary “Leap Year Day” programs and buttons will be handed out. Be sure to check out Brian Feldman’s site for more information on this once-in-a-lifetime performance.
