Two New Exhibits Opening at the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens

Songs of the Patriot: When American Music Went to War shows cover illustrations and lyrics of popular sheet music from 1940-1945. A complimentary exhibition, From Swords to Plowshares: World War II Metal Trench Art presents an acclaimed collection of approximately 100 pieces of trench art made by soldiers, prisoners of war and civilians. Combining the exhibitions allows Museum visitors to experience the American wartime fronts both at home and abroad.

Both special exhibitions will run from September 2, 2008 through November 16, 2008. Military veterans will receive free admission during the entire run of the exhibit.
