How times have changed! Back in 1991 Gay Days in Orlando consisted a single day visit to the Magic Kingdom. The shock and opposition of conservative park goers resulted in Disney posting warning signs at the Magic Kingdom.
Jump ahead 18 years - the signs, warnings and unease are gone. Area hotels, restaurants and bars now clamor to to partake in this week-long event that brings in over 130,000 gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, family and friends to Orlando.
Orlando Gay Days now includes specific days for all four of the Walt Disney theme parks. This year an entire hotel has been named the official host for the event - catering to the gay & lesbian lifestyle. One right on Disney Property!
