Disagree completely with your comment that “This year, Epcot’s 13th annual Food & Wine Festival is bigger and better than ever.” All I’ve heard is complaint after complaint that this year is far inferior to prior years. Most of the special dinners and lunches are gone, many of the tastings have been replaced by book signings, and lots of little things have been changed for the worse (like the annual cookbook no longer contains all the recipes from the booths, but rather a “highlight” of the most popular along with filler pages). Disney has really disappointed a lot of people that go annually.
Theresa, you are sadly mistaken. The 2009 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival was a shadow of its former glory. The number of wineries and wine seminars were far fewer. In the past, we went to the festival 2 or 3 times each year. After one trip in 2009, we wont be back, ever, unlesss it turns around. No worth the travel and expense.
We have attended the Food & Wine Festival three times already and have loved each trip. Granted, this is the first time we’ve ever been to the festival but we already have many favorites and have enjoyed trying different dishes from around the world.
Ifs its your first time – its a great experience!
I attended the festival 3 times. This was my first year attending. I enjoyed the food but disappointed that all cookbooks were sold out and I was unable to purchase one. Also, sold out of other festival merchandise before Nov. 8. Also, not able to do any tasting seminars, etc. Thought some food items were adequate size for price but many were very small.
