This year, the annual Florida Watercolor Society convention will be held September 13-16, 2012 in Orlando. Each year, the event draws in member chapters from around the state for the accompanying juried competition.
FWS is the largest watercolor society in the country with the awards ceremony being the highlight of the annual convention.
The Mennello Museum will be hosting the society's companion exhibition, with entries by its statewide members, including the winners of the competition.

The Watercolor Exhibition will be on display at the Mennello Museum through November 25, 2012.

Being one of the artist whose work was chosen to hang in this exhibition, I stopped by the Mennello to see the exhibition. If you like watercolor, this show is a must. Wide range of styles and subjects from some of the best Florida has to offer – a great value and it will be a long time before it comes back to Orlando.
