City of Sanford's Annual Youth Halloween Party

Halloween at Cranes Roost Park
October 31, 2009 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Halloween at Cranes Roost is a community oriented door to door trick-or-treat alternative for kids, sponsored by the City of Altamonte Springs. The Annual Halloween event features local business sponsoring booths to hand out candy and trinkets to an estimated 15,000 kids. There are costume contests for all ages, inflatable games and live entertainment. No coolers or pets please. Free admission.

Trick or Treat in Downtown Sanford
October 31, 2009 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
First Street & Magnolia Square in Historic Downtown Sanford for children ages 12 and under can Trick or Treat with the Downtown Merchants. There will also be Carnival Games, Prizes & Surprises. Costume contests by age groups start at 7PM & 7:30PM in Magnolia Square For more information call 407.688.5120. Proudly Sponsored by The City of Sanford Recreation Department and sanctioned by the Sanford Police Department. Free admission.

Family Fall Festival
October 31, 2009 from 11 am - 2 pm
The festival will be filled with exciting events and activities for the entire family to enjoy including interactive inflatables, a children’s costume parade, old-fashioned hay rides, pumpkin patch in the park, art workshops by Crealde School of Art, cookie decorating by Young Chefs Academy, reptile petting zoo by Zoo Mom Science, swimming pool safety tips, and hilarious entertainment on the main stage provided by The Outer Toons. Free Admission.

"Do You Believe?"
October 3, 2009 at the Lake Mary Museum. A panel of well-known experts will discuss their encounters with ghosts, cryptids and unknowns. Panelists are Cryptozoologist Scott Marlowe, MUFON Investigator Denise Stoner, Ghost Investigator Joanne Maio and Paranormal Expert Richard Lester. Candlelight Tales
October 9 and 16, 2009 beginning at 6:30 at the Lake Mary Museum. Storyteller Country Joe Rosier tells tales by candlelight of things that really go bump in the night. Not appropriate for children under 5. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for kids up to 18. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Event starts at 7 p.m. No admittance after event starts. Reservations are required. Ghost Walk
October 10, 17 & 24, 2009 at the Lake Mary Museum. Guides lead visitors on a walk from the museum to the cemetery and back, meeting ghosts and learning about how they became that way. Walks leave museum every 10 minutes starting at 6:30 p.m. Comfortable, closed toe shoes are recommended. Reservations Required. $5 for Adults, $2 for kids to age 18. Call 407-585-1481.
