In case you haven't heard,
Disney Quest has been busy making changes and improvements to their interactive, 3D, virtual reality arcade attraction, located in Downtown Disney's West Side.
- For starters, Disney Quest has discontinued using 'Smart Cards', a system where you used points for rides/games/adventures. Now, all games are included in the admission price. (The Smart Card kind of reminded me of the olden days when the Magic Kingdom used coupon books for individual rides at the park. If you ran out of 'E' tickets you would have to purchase more, or forgo the really good rides and head on over to Cinderella's Carousel.)
- Another Disney Quest improvement is the annual pass for Florida Residents. Now for roughly the same price as two admissions, you can visit the attraction as much as you like for one full year, with no blackout dates.
- Two new adventures were added over the summer:
Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold, is an interactive adventure that requires one captain and from one to five crew members to man the cannons. The object is to work together during this five minute adventure to capture as much gold as you can from other pirates, while trying to secure your booty against Jolly Roger and his Ghost ship.
Song Maker utilizes touch-screen computers to allow guests to create their own musical creations by mixing and matching lyrics and music styles. There are over 1,000 vocal performances available to to help with with the song creation. The final copy of the song can be reproduced on a CD that is available for sale.
