Two metal hoops, 6.5 feet in diameter are joined at six points. The hoops are turned and spun as twin brothers perform gravity defying somersaults and acrobatics with ease and precision. Not a beat is missed as their choreographed moves and stoic facial expressions lead you to believe that this is an effortless routine for them.
Funambule (High Wire)
Thirty-four feet above the stage, three Russian funambulists are supported by a half-inch steel wire as they execute breathtaking maneuvers along a 90-foot long high wire. Complete precision and balance help them as they maneuver 360 degree spins, head balancing and an amazing bicycle ride.
Diabolos (Chinese yo-yo)
This entrancing act features four young Chinese performers all under the age of 14. Using what is similar to a jump rope, they spin and toss heavy wooden spools through the air while performing flips and keeping time to the music. In perfect synchronization they juggle the spools back and forth to each other without ever missing a beat. The discipline and concentration that shows on their faces during their routine turns into genuine smiles, as the audience cheers their performance.
Vélos (Cycles)
Adding today's fascination with BMX stunts, these cycle wizards mesmerize the audience with technical twists, gymnastic turns and spins on one wheel. Stunts are performed while jumping off high platforms, hopping up and down steps and into the audience on one wheel before literally disappearing into into the depths of the stage.
Cadre aérien (Aerial Cradle)
An open door in its frame is suspended from the ceiling as a male and female gymnast demonstrate an example of equal-opportunity strength and agility. This amazing athletic display features elements of traditional circus aerial cradle with a unique and special difference - the artists take turns supporting one another 34 feet above the stage.
Ballet air et soie (Aerial Ballet in Silk)
Red silk ribbons drop down from above, flowing with gentle ease and grace just like the performers for this act who demonstrate their strength and agility - grace and beauty. No safety wires hold these artists in place as they coil themselves into a cocoon, fifty feet above the stage then seemingly free fall as they unwind towards the ground. Ballet is performed high above the stage as a lone artist wrapped in silk, floats effortlessly over the audience.
Equilibre sur chaises (Balancing on Chairs)
Vasily Demenchukov who once performed in the Moscow circus amazes the audience with his famous chair act. For 11 years now, he has defied gravity and the laws of physics while balancing precariously on a stack of eight chairs, atop a table, 25 feet in the air all the while carrying a spinning birthday cake lit with candles.
Grands volants (Flying Trapeze)
Those magnificent men in the flying trapeze! Two different levels allow a perfectly synchronized aerialists team to swing 53 feet above the stage in an exhibition of rhythm and athleticism. This troupe was imported from Russia's Moscow circus. It was their graceful movements that prompted the delicate tutus that they wear.
Power Track/Trampoline
The stage opens up to hidden trampolines, while others are lowered from high above the stage. The corner of a high-rise sets the stage as acrobats catapult their way in and out of the open windows. The stage is set on fire in this high-energy acrobatic display of phenomenal timing and spatial awareness. During this final performance, many of the stage 'extras' showcase their amazing acrobatic talents.
