Planning Your Wedding

Now that you're Engaged!

By Theresa Johnston, About.com

There is so much to do, and hopefully enough time to do it all in. If you are feeling frazzled, or overwhelmed at work, a Wedding Planner may be your best starting point. Attending area Bridal Shows is another way to find out current wedding trends and local resources. Orlando Wedding Guides & Publications will often provide the time and dates of area Bridal Shows.

Your first step in saving money would be to visit online versions of the top Wedding Publications. These sites offer loads of information for the newly engaged.

After you have decided on a date for your Wedding, determine what type of budget that you will be working with. Once you know what kind of funds you have available, you can start looking for wedding vendors that can help you stay within your budget. If you have your heart set on a certain ceremony or reception location, or there is only one photographer that you will consider using, schedule that NOW! Any items that need ordering, such as your Wedding Gown and Invitations should be done at least 6-12 months before your wedding.
