The Great Movie Ride

The full-scale re-creation of the famous Chinese Theater is the gateway to one of Disney's most elaborate ride-through attractions. Once inside the theater, guests queue through the precisely reproduced lobby that leads them to the heart and soul of filmmaking. A giant screen displays the charm, romance, suspense, intrigue and blazing six-shooter action of some of Hollywood's most memorable cinematic moments in film history.
A guide joins you on your journey into the movies aboard 70-passenger vehicles for a "soundstage tour". Audio-Animatronics characters re-create memorable movie moments of such famous film settings as the "Casablanca" airport farewell, the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City from "Wizard of Oz," the "Raiders of the Lost Ark" Well of Souls and many more. A grand finale film montage reminds guests that the number of memorable scenes from great films is limitless.

The courtyard of the Chinese Theater features handprints of numerous show business stars who have visited the studios, including Alan Alda, Lauren Bacall, Robin Williams, Charlton Heston, Samuel L. Jackson, Sylvester Stallone, Bette Midler and Tom Cruise. |
