Unfortunately, selecting the right resort or hotel is not as easy as it sounds. Living in Florida nearly all my life I can tell you from experience that hotels and resorts often don't appear as advertised in guidebooks and on websites. I have also had bad experiences with the numerous hotel/resort rating services that must award diamonds and stars on some other undisclosed factor other than appearance and value.
The great descriptions and flattering photographs often contrast with the stark reality that you've made a horrible mistake when you arrive late at night at your less than glamorous hotel or resort with the family in tow.
Fortunately, this is NOT the case with the Radisson Resort Parkway. Situated within the heart of Central Florida, less than two miles from Disney's Main Gate, the Radisson Resort Parkway offers guests the world-class vacation experience visitors to Orlando have come to expect. The 20-acre property offers all newly remodeled rooms, of which 22 are ADA accessible rooms, two restaurants, a gift shop and swimming pools, lots of them. There is a gigantic swimming pool with a 40-foot water slide, a separate heated pool, a children's play pool and two whirlpools.
A stay at the Resort, however, won't force you to refinance your home. There is the Kids 10-and-under eat free program at the Resort's restaurant and kids 18-and-under stay free in their parent's room. Various travel and auto clubs can provide discounted rates.
It's not only the kids that will be having fun. There are many options to keep mom and dad happy. There are two-lighted private tennis courts, a fitness center, volleyball court and dry sauna. All amenities and equipment used is provided free of charge to guests.
An added bonus, mom and dad can relax and let someone else fight the traffic to and from the theme parks by taking the Resort's complimentary shuttle. It goes to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Florida and SeaWorld, as well as nearby outlet shopping malls. In addition, you save money by not paying the $6-10 parking fee for each theme park.
