I rode it two weeks ago multiple times and I'm already anticipating going back and riding it a few years from now... if only I lived nearby and/or was rich. It's a very intense experience, in the dark most of the time. It slows down long enough for you to check out some of the dinosaurs (or for them to check you out), but quickly speeds up enough to provide the thrills any
dino-watcher seeks... and then some. I think it's the best ride in the World.
As stated before, this is by far my favorite ride in all the Disney World parks. I loved it. It's not too turbulent, but I wouldn't
recommend someone with serious back or neck pain riding it. Minor pains probably won't get too aggravated unless you're extremely sensitive.
Go in the morning (a few times through) and, after that, use Fastpass. Feel like going twice in the row in the afternoon or evening? Get a Fastpass and then get in the standby line. Wait the normal time and ride. By the time you come out, it'll probably be within the time frame for your Fastpass ride with a much shorter wait. Some smaller children may be scared by the ride, but most will probably love it. You know your child.
Also, look for the meet-and-greet Carnotaurus outside the Dinosaur area. He's awesome and not as scary as the dinosaurs inside the ride. He may try to bite your head off, though. This guy might be a good way to show kids the the dinosaurs won't really hurt them. But they probably will still scare them. Once again, you know what your kids can do... and they know even better themselves.
