The Orlando Union Rescue Mission
Helping the Poor and Homeless in Orange County

The Orlando Union Rescue Mission has been serving the poor and homeless in the Central Florida area since 1948. Their housing facilities provide overnight lodging for men as well as transitional housing for men, women and families. The program includes basic services such as hot meals, showers, personal hygiene items and clean clothing.

In addition to the ongoing volunteer opportunities available, The Orlando Union Rescue Mission organizes seasonal fundraising events to benefit the center and provide holiday meals to the homeless.

Services they Provide:
Since 1988 their Mission Home has helped over a thousand families gain secure employment, achieve self-sufficiency, become active in local churches and to grow in grace and spiritual maturity.

The for homeless men, the center provides:

  • Clean beds and hot showers
  • Nightly chapel services and evangelism
  • Bible studies
  • Biblically based counseling
