Orange County presents its 30,000 acre Lake Apopka, which unfortunately is no longer considered a top spot for largemouth bass, due to pollution. The three major chain of lakes, Butler, Winter Park and Conway offer some great off-shore fishing, if you can find a vacant spot, since these lakes have also become popular residential communities. In Seminole County you will find the famous north-flowing St. Johns River which provides plenty of fishing opportunities with boat ramps and piers all along the stretch from Jacksonville to Lake Monroe in Sanford.
In Lake County you will find the popular eleven lake, Clermont Chain, which provides a fishing pier on Lake Minneola and public boat ramps for a $5 fee. Just off U. S. Hwy 27, you will find Lake Harris, part of the Ocklawaha Chain, which has been known as one of the best bass lakes in the area. Next page > Rules & Regulations > Page 1, 2, 3 |
