ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Located 10 minutes north of Orlando, Maitland has long been primarily known as a suburban area. Since the 1970s when the urban sprawl of Maitland Center was built along with the Maitland Exchange ramps from I-4, Maitland has achieved a major business identity. The Maitland Center offers hotels, dining and a multitude of high-rise office buildings. With the plans to build an upscale downtown area which will include retail space and condos, Maitland will soon have a distinctive downtown area that it has previously lacked.
