Barnie's Coffee Kitchen:
Barnie's Coffee and Tea Company has been a leading contender in Florida's coffee industry for the past 3 decades. In October of 2011 the shop re-opened it's doors as Barnie's Coffee Kitchen on Park Avenue. Previously, Barnie's featured a variety of coffees, teas, and a small selection of snacks. Now, the company offers not only 50 or more different flavors of coffee, but also a range of breakfast and lunch choices that are made from scratch.
What's On the New Menu:
A number of their coffee blends have been awarded the Cup of Excellence,
which is the most prestigious honor in the coffee industry. Barnie's will
continue to serve its' customers with the highest quality coffee and tea brews.
One of the main focuses of Barnie's new approach will be in-store roasting.
Rather than focusing on retail and take-out beverages, Barnie's will be
providing a relaxing environment where their patrons can enjoy a hand-crafted coffee of their choice.
Breakfast:
Lunch:
For a appetizer or evening snack, try one of the shared plates. My favorite is the Avocado Mash, a wonderful portion of chopped avocado lightly seasoned with cilantro and lime, served with blue corn and pita chips.
Desserts:
Barnie's Coffee Kitchen will be open Sunday through Thursday until 7:00 and until 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday. The lunch and dessert menu will be available daily until closing.
All Star Staff:
Barnie's is the proud home of James Duncan, an incredibly talented master
barista, who is the recent winner of the Latte Art Challenge in the Ultimate
Barista Challenge hosted in Shanghai, China. James was the only representative
from the USA at the event which took place at the 15th annual International
Exhibition for Food, Drink, Hospitality, Foodservice, Bakery and Retail
Industries.
Duncan has over 5 years of experience in the industry and has won a number of
regional competitions, as well. He is exceptionally passionate about the
art-form and creativity that goes into creating each one of his carefully
hand-crafted espresso beverages.
Barnie's is also extremely excited to present their new dishes that were
developed by the company's culinary team which is led by Collette Haw, a
graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). Patrons will be very
pleased with the overwhelming difference from competitor's pre-packaged items.
Expect More:
Barnie's is not only reinventing their Park Avenue location, but they are planning on integrating the changes into most of their stores. The company will be remodeling all of its'corporate stores by mid-2012. There will also be another store addition in the heart of downtown Orlando, at the City Arts Factory, in 2011.
