The chains Director of Wine, Marian Jensen op de Haar, along with each restaurants local wine managers, yearly selects Flemings 100. More than 5,000 wines from around the world are considered for the list, all of which are available by the glass. The core collection is available at all 25 Flemings restaurants across the country and consists of 50 wines. The remaining 50 selections are specific for each individual restaurant. These are chosen based upon regional consumer preference and demand. An additional 25 wines were added to the Reserve List and are available by the bottle only.
The Flemings 100 wines featured on the first four pages of the menu may seem overwhelming. Flemings overcomes this obstacle by using a progressive format for arranging the list in order by the wines intensity, from the lighter and sweeter to the drier, more intense selections. If the abundant choices are still intimidating, Flemings educated waiters are available to make recommendations based on the entrée ordered and the diners preferences.
Flemings Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, first opened in 1998 in Newport Beach, California serves an array of chops, seafood and chicken dishes, but hand-cut prime steaks are the main event, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. A creative selection of appetizers and sides are available along with delectable desserts.
For those who like to experiment, Flemings offers six different Wine Flights. Designed for experiencing different tastes, Wine Flights are three individual 2-ounce wine servings that provide the opportunity to compare and contrast while discovering new favorites. Climate-controlled wine rooms ensure that every glass of wine remains at the optimum temperature.
Like most of Winter Parks popular spots, parking is limited, but Flemings offers free valet parking. Reservations are recommended.
