Fulton's Crab House at Downtown Disney

Be sure to make reservations - if not, arrive early or plan on eating late - this is one popular restaurant. Visitors to the area have been known to book their reservations months in advance - often planning their visit to Fulton's when their favorite waiter is scheduled to be working.

Tourists and residents alike may remember the grand Empress Lilly, docked on lake Buena Vista at the entrance to Pleasure Island. Originally built in 1976 by Disney Imagineering, the Empress Lilly served guests from 1977 till 1995. Currently the restaurant is run and operated by the Levy Restaurants which operates Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe and Portobello also found at Downtown Disney.

MENU:

Now on to the food! The menu, printed daily is dominated by lobster and crab dishes. Luscious Maine and Australian Lobster. Tender crab claws, Alaska King, Stone, Snow and Dungeness. A menu specialty that I tried, Lobster Narragansett was a wonderful whole Maine lobster, stuffed with shrimp and scallops. Several fresh catch choices are included daily on the menu. For landlubbers, the menu also includes Filet Mignon, chicken and salads.

AMBIANCE :

A festive atmosphere can be found aboard the riverboat. Visitors looking forward to revisiting a favorite restaurant and locals coming to celebrate a special event. Fulton's Crab House accommodates all with top-notch service where parents can enjoy a first-rate evening out without the kids feeling neglected.

WINE :

Continuously rated as one of the Orlando area's top wine restaurants by Wine Spectator, Fulton's Crab House boasts over 2600 bottles of wine on premises with 190 selections. Unsure of what to order? Very knowledgeable waiters area available to offer suggestions, or the wine sommelier is always on hand to discuss the various wine selections.

There area several areas that are available for special events and parties. For example, the third deck lounge seats up to 40, the deck bow can accommodate up to 100. Special menu's are available for receptions, lunch, dinner, passed hors d'oeuvres and the extensive riverboat Queen Menu.
