Le Coq au Vin Restaurant

Country French Dining at it's Finest

From , former About.com Guide

As one of Orlando's long-standing favorites, this discrete Country French dining establishment has been acclaimed by Florida Trend Magazine and The American Culinary Federation, and has been recognized by Wine Spectator Magazine for an award winning wine list. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife team whose main goal is to ensure consistency in the high quality of the food. Their supervision, combined with the careful attention of professional and knowledgeable servers, offers a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.

When you enter the restaurant (located just south of the downtown area on Orange Avenue), the words 'comfortable,' and 'country,' and 'unpretentious,' pleasantly come to mind. Three cozy rooms make up the dining area, providing seating for 100 guests. For small dinner parties or special events, a separate room can be reserved. Dinner reservations are strongly recommended.

Seasonal changes are made to the menu, but rest assured the namesake signature dish of chicken and mushrooms infused with burgundy wine will always be available. Also on the menu, you will find a nice selection of seafood, steak, poultry and veal concoctions. In addition to it's creative entrees, Le Coq au Vin also offers a delicious array of appetizers and desserts, including their decadent soufflés. Keep in mind that the soufflés take additional time to prepare and need to be ordered with the entree.

Prices:
Between $16 - $30 for dinner entrees.

Location:
Orange Avenue, South of Downtown.

Extras:

  • If you prefer to bring your own wine, there is a $15 corkage fee.
  • For small private gatherings, the restaurant can accommodate up to 28 people in two separate rooms.
