"We're pleased to be able to thank those who directly contributed to the restoration efforts for our guests, our cast and our community," said Al Weiss, president of Walt Disney World Resort. "While Walt Disney World was fortunate enough to be spared any serious damage, some neighboring communities where our cast members and guests live were harder hit. Line workers, major relief agencies and many county and city employees went the extra mile in the restoration effort, and this is our way of saying 'thank you' to them."
"Disney's Salute to Central Florida Hurricane Heroes" program is being coordinated from the Walt Disney World Resort directly with eligible agencies and companies, such as the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, National Guard, the Florida League of Cities, and various county and city government agencies in Brevard, Lake, Indian River, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia Counties.
Details of this program, along with a list of eligible agencies and companies, are available online at disneyworld.com/thankyou. Eligible companies and agencies will receive exchange certificates to distribute to eligible power company and emergency relief workers, which may be exchanged for one Disney's Salute to Central Florida Hurricane Heroes 5-Day Park Hopper Plus Ticket (described below). Eligible power company and emergency relief workers should contact their company or agency directly for specific guidelines and to see if they are eligible to participate in this program.
