From 1974 to 1982 ,Snow created a world class, night-time complex of entertainment, dining, drinking, dancing and shopping. At the time it was The Place for locals and tourists to see and be seen. In 1985 Church Street was even touted as being the fourth largest tourist attraction in the state. Remember the famed Nickel Beer Night at Rosies or the disco dancing at Phineas Phoggs? They were fun times that thrived during the 70s and 80s but eventually the tourists started to favor the closer nightlife at Disneys Pleasure Island and later on, that of Universals CityWalk. In the 90s even the locals started to loose interest in Church Street Station as more clubs and bars opened up around town.
