Pleasure Island

Walt Disney World - Downtown Disney

By Theresa Johnston, About.com

Pleasure Island will be closing September 27, 2008.

Pleasure Island at Downtown Disney, is a six acre entertainment complex, alive with seven themed nightclubs for nonstop club hopping fun. Club information...

Admission is no longer necessary to walk through Pleasure Island, allowing guests to visit the shops and restaurants within at no charge. To gain access to any of the nightclubs, admission is required and can be purchased at several locations for either one club or all seven. Annual passes are available and occasionally Florida Resident specials are available (as always - ask about specials before purchasing tickets).

It is easy to access Pleasure Island, located between Downtown Disney Marketplace and Downtown Disney West Side. The three are connected to the “mainland” by three footbridges. There is no charge for parking - but on busy nights, it can be quite a challenge to find a space.

Annual Events include:

Dining Options:

  • Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, which features the very best of authentic Irish food, drink, heritage and live entertainment.
  • Planet Hollywood, a landmark on the Walt Disney World skyline, is located right next door. The celebrity-themed restaurant features a vast collection of original show business memorabilia inside a planet-shaped building that sits on its own island just a few yards from Pleasure Island.
  • Portobello Yacht Club for contemporary regional Italian cuisine.
Pleasure Island Shopping:

Harley-Davidson store, offering a huge selection of official Harley-Davidson men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, gifts and collectibles, and two Harley-Davidson motorcycles guests can sit on.
