What is the Law Regarding Drinking and Driving in the State of Florida?

By Theresa Johnston, About.com

Question: What is the Law Regarding Drinking and Driving in the State of Florida?

When in doubt - take a taxi! That's my best advice on this topic. Legally there are limits, but how is one supposed to know whether they have had more than the legal limit?

Answer: In the State of Florida, if you are under the age of 21, it is illegal to drive a motor vehicle with a BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) of .02 or higher....for most people this level would be exceeded by just one drink. Any one 21 years of age or older may not drive if they have a BAC of .08 or higher.
