Beautiful paths in the gardens

Though a beautiful and tranquil retreat year round, Kraft Azalea Gardens exudes color during the months of January through March when the namesake flowers are in bloom. Eleven acres of tropical shrubs, tree-lined paths and thousands of azaleas create a scenic retreat along the shores of Lake Maitland.

Enjoy a picnic lunch, fish from the dock, meander about or just relax on a bench while reading a book - the peaceful gardens have a way of distancing the stress of the day. Late afternoon can bring cool breezes and breathtaking sunsets over the lake, creating a serene, romantic setting.

The beautiful Exedra has provided a glorious backdrop for many weddings and photo shoots at Kraft Azalea Gardens. The gardens are available for private events and weddings, not larger than 20 guests. Reservations are accepted in the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office.

A little difficult to find on your first visit, Kraft Azalea Gardens is centrally located in the heart of Winter Park's residential area, across from a condo complex that was once the famous Alabama Hotel.
