Topping off the North-East quadrant of Orange County lies the smallest of Central Florida's counties, Seminole County. This once sleepy, bedroom community of Central Florida has gown to one of the area's more popular places to call home. Recent years have brought an abundance of business to the area, especially to the cities of Lake Mary and Sanford.

Roughly a 15 minute drive into Orlando and about 45 minutes to the attractions and east-coast beaches makes most of Central Florida within easy access to Seminole County.

VISITING SEMINOLE COUNTY:

Fly directly into the hassle-free Sanford Orlando International Airport when visiting Seminole County. Throughout the county you will find hotels and lodging. Most of the hotels will be found just off of Interstate 4 (I-4) at the exits of Exit 92 - SR 436 and Exit 101 - SR 46.

THINGS TO DO IN SEMINOLE COUNTY:

Though only about 344 square miles in size, Seminole County boasts some of the best outdoor recreation around - everything from 2,000 freshwater lakes to a multitude of prestigious golf courses.

Notable Activities in Seminole County:

Major shopping, dining and entertainment areas can be found at the Altamonte Mall, Uptown Altamonte, the Seminole Towne Center and the Colonial Towne Center in Sanford.

SEMINOLE COUNTY HOUSING:

Seminole County has long been known as a comfortable place to raise a family. The public school system of Seminole County has been consistently ranked as one of the best in the state. An abundance of communities both new and established provide a wide range of housing options. Well planned communities such as Heathrow in Lake Mary and Alaqua Lakes, Sweetwater Oaks and Sabal Point in Longwood provide family centers with outdoor parks and playgrounds.

SEMINOLE COUNTY EMPLOYMENT:

Throughout Seminole County are small businesses and companies - many operating to service the residents of the county. In Lake Mary is the popular Heathrow Business Center on International Parkway where many large international companies are headquartered, including AAA, Mitsubishi Power Systems and Ruth's Chris.
