Orange County Regional History Center

In 2006, the Orange County Regional History Center was awarded accreditation by the American Association of Museums, the highest honor a museum can receive. It recognizes museums that have achieved and maintained standards of quality and excellence in the museum profession. The history museum was also accepted as an Affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. Its program recognizes select organizations for having goals compatible with the Smithsonian's mission, who maintain the high standards of excellence that are synonymous with Smithsonian's exhibition presentation and museum education.
