For most clubs, you do not need to become a member of either the individual resort or AANR. If you are not a member and go for a day or an overnight stay, you will be required to pay a day fee. Many clubs and resorts offer a variety of membership types to accommodate seasonal members and vacationers.
What is a Family Friendly Resort?
A resort that allows children when accompanied by an adult.
Are Singles Allowed into the Resort?
Most resorts will allow single, unaccompanied women into the resort. There are more criteria for single men. Some resort policies might include:
- Single men must be registered members of AANR.
- There is a limited number of single men that are allowed into the resort at any given time.
A day fee is what the resort charges for the privilege of using the facility and it's amenities - such as the pool, spa and fitness room. The day fee is usually waived for members of the resort, discounted for members of AANR and required for non-members. If you are a first time visitor to a new resort, you may be able to find a printable free pass for a trial day or call the resort and ask if you can 'try out' the resort for the day.
First Time at a Nudist or Naturist Resort?
If you are a little on the timid side, I would recommend going to a resort for just the day. You may need to pay a day fee, but you have the opportunity to check out the resort and find out what your comfort level for nudity is without being paying for a hotel room charge.
Is Sexual Activity Allowed in Common Areas?
Florida nudist and naturist resorts do not allow any type of sexual activity or public displays of affection.
Will Anyone Take My Picture?
Nudist and Naturist resorts are very respectful of a person's privacy and cameras are not allowed on the premises.
Can Clothes be Worn at a Nudist Resort?
Most common areas of the resort are clothing-optional and the pool area is set aside for complete nudity. First time visitors are allowed time to acclimate to the lifestyle. The thought here is if you are not a nudist, you should not be at the resort.
