  • Easter Pysanky: Decorated Eggs of Europe
    Through April 12, 2009: Over one hundred traditional painted eggs and hand-painted modern European interpretations will be on display at the Lakeview Gallery.
  • Good Friday
    April 10, 2009: Free admission to the museum and gardens.
  • Winter Park Paint Out
    April 29 through May 02, 2009: Artists will be painting throughout the city of Winter Park.
CENTRAL FLORIDA ZOO

  • Storytime at the Zoo
    April & May, 2009: From 10:00 - 10:30 each Wednesday enjoy stories about animals with a special zoo animal visit. Designed for pre-school age children.
  • Brews Around the ZOO
    April 04, 2009: Stroll through the Zoo and sample a wide variety of unique beers, enjoy regional cuisine, international music. Admission is $25 per person.
  • Hippity Hop Adventure
    April 11 & 12, 2009: Holiday adventure with the Easter Bunny.
  • Roo's Birthday Bash
    April 18, 2009: Celebrate the Central Florida Zoo's birthday with crafts, face painting and a magician. Event is free with paid zoo admission.
  • Party for the Planet
    April 25, 2009: The zoo will be showcasing conservation efforts.
LEU GARDENS

  • Hibiscus Show and Sale
    April 11, 2009: Free admission to the show. Learn how to take care of your hibiscus, preview different varieties, purchase your favorites. Sale starts at 9:00 am, show runs from 1:00 pm till 5:00pm.
  • Rose Show
    April 18, 2009: Free admission to the show sponsored by the Central Florida Rose Society. Enter your blooms for judging from 6:00am till 10:00am.
MORSE MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART

ORLANDO MUSEUM OF ART

  • Of Cloth & Culture: African Textiles
    Through December 2009: Exhibit features textiles from various regions of the African continent, including Kente cloth from West Africa, beaded aprons fron the Kirdi of Cameroon, and beaded animal skins of the San people of South Africa.
  • American Portraits & Landscapes
    Through December 2009: Features works by Benjamin West, Thomas Moran, Rembrandt Peale, John Henry Twachtman, and Carl Wuermer representing art from the Colonial period through the early 20th century.
  • 19th & Early 20th Century American Art
    Through December 2009: Drawn from the museum's permanent collection, the exhibition features paintings by George Inness, John Singer Sargent, Georgia O'Keeffe, William Harnett, Alfred Bricher, William Merritt Chase, Frank Weston Benson, and the museum's recent acquisition, The Sun Vow, 1901, a sculpture by Hermon A. MacNeil.

  • Beakman’s World Tour
    Through January 2009: Based on the children’s hit television show Beakman’s World, this hands-on version will explore four very different worlds in exciting and innovative ways. Children and the young at heart can satisfy their curiosity for the worlds of the human body, space, dinosaurs, and rainforests.
