  • A Parisian Affair: The Art of Andre Renoux
May 22- September 23, 2012:  Known as the father of the Urban Realist movement in France, Andre Renoux (1939-2002) has captured the charm of Paris by documenting its cityscapes since the 1960s. His focus is not on its grand architectural monuments but on the more intimate landmarks of daily Parisian life and its environs, such as a kiosk in a city square, colorful shops and out-of-the-way bistros. Renoux's art education includes studies at the Ecole des Art Decoratifs in Nice and the Ecole Superieure des Arts Modernes in Paris. A selection of original oil paintings from the Sebastian Collection will be featured.
