Nude Nite, the largest nude art show in the U.S. strips down to its finest birthday suit to celebrate its 10th year on Valentines weekend. Orlando’s most anticipated art event returns with another 14,000 SF warehouse venue to host hundreds of cutting edge, sexy works from local, national and international artists.

Nude Nite fans can expect the popular cast of characters including body painting vignettes from world class body painters, theatrical strolling performers and living sculptures. Nude Nite is not just about art on the wall, but the show is stepping up the entertainment with burlesque performances at the top of every hour, starting at 9pm. Miss Polly Wood is flying her tassels in from burlesque capital, Seattle to tease attendees in addition to local favorite Blue Star and her troupe. Attendees will be sure to read every word of Atlanta artist Darren Saravis’ Body Text Project, a photography installation projecting political manifestos such as MLK’s famous speech, the 5th Amendment and more projected on gorgeous bodies.

Valentines can break from the art to share a Perrier-Jouet champagne toast served by human painted flowers or wind through the green Lucid Labyrinth to experience a now legal absinthe cocktail served by painted green fairies. Nude Nite now opens every evening at 6pm vs. the 8pm of recent years. Attendees will have more time to buy and view art without the later night crowds. Early browsers can enjoy Naked Sushi, an art exhibit and tasting exclusively each nite from 6-8pm, hosted by artist Michael Leoncio. Area sushi chefs will prepare and serve specialties on the most human of displays. Sushi and wine tasting available for $5.

Nude Nite has always provided interactive art so attendees can be more than spectators (Sketch classes, promoting an open photography philosophy at events, art process education to name a few) with the goal to inspire the artist in us all. In this, Nude Nite acknowledges the evolution of graffiti art from the subway to the gallery and has invested in developing an interactive way for attendees to experience life as a graffiti artist without the permanent defacement of buildings. Nude Nite producer, Kelly Stevens has partnered with technology experts to develop a cutting edge laser writing software, allowing anyone to be a graffiti artist. This technology will be revealed at Nude Nite for the first time in Central Florida. Participants will be able to paint words and draw temporary art with light on the exterior of the building without facing jail time.

Nude Nite will be held on February 12-14, 2009 at a vacant warehouse at 503 Brookhaven Dr. Orlando, FL 32803 (Actual corner is Virginia and Alden Rd. Entrance is in rear of building on Brookhaven) in the Lake Ivanhoe Antique/Warehouse District. Hours are 6pm - midnite all nites. Admission is $20 cash only, 21 and up, Cash Bar, Tickets are available at the door or online until Wednesday Feb 11 at www.nudeniteorlando.com Valet Parking is available. An additional event will be held in Tampa’s Ybor City Feb 26-28th at 1925 2nd Ave. Tampa, FL 33605. Nude Nite is sponsored by Panama Jack, 3C Studios, Bureto Metal, and the Downtown Arts District.
