Holiday traditons and new fun events, there is something for everyone this year.  With over 100 ways to celebrate the Christmas Season in Orlando you are sure to find something to fit into your busy schedule.  Some events do have admission charges, but most are free to low-cost family-friendly events in and arount the Orlando area during the months of November and December.

6. Where to find Snow and Ice

Ready to take a break from the heat.  How about a little playtime in the snow? An afternoon spent ice skating might be just what you need to get into the holiday spirit this year.  Several locations will be offering ice skating in Orlando this year.  Some cities will be having snow delivered for their holiday events.

8. Outdoor Holiday Movies

Movies at home are always fun, but for a family evening out, a thermos of hot cocoa, a warm blanket and a movie under the stars makes for a memorable evening out.  With the wonderful weather we are having here in Orlando, an outdoor holiday movie is a festive touch - at a very affordable price. Most movies listed are free of charge.

9. Decorated Holiday Homes

Decorated for the Holidays.  Historic Orlando area homes that are on display during the Christmas Holiday Season.  Other than Leu's Holiday House all other decorated homes are part of a tour.  All require an admission fee.  Also note, Leu Gardens has free admission on the first Monday of the month and on December 6, 2010 you will also be able to visit the decorated home free of charge.

11. Share Your Gifts With Others

There are many Orlando residents that will be struggling this holiday season.  Perhaps for you the best way to celebrate this year is by giving to others.  Perhaps you have a special talent of volunteering, or a little be extra that can be used to purchase a special gift for a child.  Toys for Tots drop off locations and holiday events.
