Each month a different theme dictates the drink and food selections available for the evening. One admission price allows you to sip, drink or guzzle to your heart’s content while feasting on delectable appetizers. For those that prefer a different libation, several cash bars are available. The cocktail party starts at 6:30 and runs until 8:30 pm. Many stay on after the 'Session', ordering drinks from the cash bars as the music plays on. Complimentary valet parking is available throughout the evening.
While most tend to dress-to-impress, a varied range of attire can be found, everything from jeans to evening wear. Photographers roam around throughout the evening snapping pics of some of the happy party goers. Photos are then posted to their website for all to view. The cocktail party is held in the lounge, on the back balcony and in the lobby of the hotel.
Special ‘Sessions’ throughout the year include the BIrthday event, usually in April or May and the very popular Halloween ‘Session’ in October.

Since its debut in January 2002 Velvet Sessions has grown to be one of the most popular 'monthly' events in Central Florida. Past entertainment has included: The Knack, Cheap Trick, Loverboy, Uncle Kracker, The Lovin' Spoonful, Berlin, A Flock of Seagulls, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Quiet Riot, Starship and Marshall Crenshaw.
