Alive After Five

In Historic Downtown Sanford

By Theresa Johnston, About.com

Seminole County's favorite place for locals to socialize is Sanford’s Alive After Five. This monthly celebration of Downtown Sanford takes place on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 5PM – 9PM. The evening features, art, live music and wine, beer and food tastings. A number of art forms are be represented, including painting, stained glass, pottery, jewelry and mosaic tile; new artists are featured each month.

The event takes place in Historic Downtown Sanford. Every month has a different theme - from "Chili Cookoff" to "Octoberfest," it's a great time for the community to get together for some relaxed fun! For $5, you get a pass to free wine, beer, and food from different Sanford businesses. There is always a "Mainstage" with a hired band and smaller stages set up with local artists.
