Orlando's Magical Dining Experience

Annual September Dining Extravaganza

By Theresa Johnston, About.com

As the summer tourist season comes to a close, the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau along with event partner SYSCO of Central Florida have put together an 'Endless Summer' dining extravaganza. Nearly 50 area restaurants are participating in this year's annual September Magical Dining Month. Savory appetizers, enticing entrees and sweet desserts sensations spice up the prix-fixe menus at some of the area's finest dining establishments.

For one set price of either $19 or $29, you can choose a three course meal that includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. The diverse list of participating restaurants includes the award-winning Le Coq au Vin, Emeril's Tchoup Chop at Royal Pacific Resort and the innovative Beluga in Winter Park.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience some of the different restaurant venues in Orlando at impressive discounts. On average, restaurants charging $29 for their three course dinner generally have entrees ranging in price from $20 to $35, with appetizers averaging around $10 and desserts for another $5 to $10. Not a bad deal - just be sure you bring your appetite!

On vacation? This special is not limited to Florida Residents. In fact, tourists to the Central Florida area are encouraged to take advantage of these discounted dining specials. Several of the participating restaurants are at attraction destinations, including Mama Della's Ristorante at the Portofino Bay Hotel, the Ming Court on International Drive and Tommy Bahama Tropical Cafe at Pointe Orlando.
