St. Patrick's Day Celebrations in Orlando

The religious holiday for the patron saint of Ireland has inspired many festive celebrations. Irish themed restaurants and bars take this opportunity to party with green beer, traditional Irish meals and good times. Some of the St. Patrick's Day Celebrations in the Central Florida area include:

VISIT AN IRISH PUB IN THE ORLANDO AREA

  • Raglan Road at Downtown Disney - Celebrate a true slice of Ireland every night of the year at this authentic Irish Pub located in the center of Downtown Disney.

  • Fiddler's Green in Winter Park - Don't miss the beer garden in the back constructed just for the event.

  • Kitty O'Sheas Irish Pub Lake Buena Vista - A favorite with locals and tourists alike.

ST. PATTY'S WITH ATTITUDE!

    On Monday, March 17th start the celebration at 4pm till close at Pat O' Brien's at Universal's CityWalk. There is no cover until 7pm. Live Rock Band & Dueling Pianos. Traditional Irish food can be purchased. Leprechauns, beads and $7.95 hurricanes and $2.00 Bud Drafts. General admission is $12 and VIL (very important leprechaun) is $20.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE

Over 75 units will participate in Winter Park's Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 8, 2009. The parade begins at Winter Park Golf Course and proceed down Park Avenue to City Hall. The celebration will feature Irish music and step-dancing at the bandstand in Central Park.

IRISH MELODIES AT BOK TOWER GARDENS

Included with general admission, Bok Tower Gardens will feature special carillon music featuring lively Irish melodies. Concerts are at 1 pm and 3 pm. Free with admission to the Gardens.

For more of a festive event, Bok Tower is also offering a special evening of fun - with or without the St. Patty's Day Irish Dinner. Be prepared to get pinched by a leprechaun if you don’t wear green! Come, have fun and make merry when “Music LIVE!” maestro Bill Doherty and the talented singers bring the best of Irish music to your enjoyment. If you know the jig, don’t be shy – come on n’ try! But don’t miss the popular pre-concert authentic Irish dinner, a hit last year!
