Heart of Florida United Way

Annual Chef's Gala

By , About.com Guide

Heart of Florida United Way announces the 17th Annual Chef’s Gala, Central Florida’s premiere fine dining and wine pairing event, on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Epcot World Showplace, from 6:45 till 10:00 p.m. The event also includes live jazz and an elegant silent auction all to benefit local charities supported by Heart of Florida United Way.

More than twenty top chefs and restaurants will prepare gourmet savory dishes and desserts paired with exclusive wines and topped off with specialty coffee creations.

Entrée and dessert items will be carefully paired with wines that have been identified as complimentary to each menu selection. Sommeliers will be on hand to provide information about each wine and discuss pairings. Coffee – espresso and regular – will offer Chef’s Gala guests an excellent way to end the evening on a high note.

In addition to offering Central Floridians a unique fine dining and wine tasting experience, the Chef’s Gala also helps provide critical assistance to the nearly 200 programs operated by more than 100 local social service agencies supported by Heart of Florida United Way. Funds raised at Chef’s Gala will help serve nearly 400,000 Central Floridians in need in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties, through United Way support of local programs.

Sponsorships are also available and offer a great way to entertain clients, partners and guests while associating with a great cause.

To reserve a spot at this year's premier charity fund-raiser, call Heart of Florida United Way at (407) 835-0900.
